Rocket Lab: Exploring the Opportunities of Science

Puatala recently engaged with Rocket Lab to support young Māori and Pasifika students by providing a rare opportunity to visit Rocket Lab’s production complex and mission control.

As part of Trades Day on 22 September 2022, students were able to explore real-world STEM career opportunities within the space industry. The visit offered valuable insight into how science, technology, engineering, and mathematics come together in a high-performance, future-focused workplace.

This experience allowed students to see firsthand the pathways available beyond the classroom and to imagine themselves in industries they may not have previously considered. For Puatala, opportunities like this are about broadening horizons, building aspiration, and connecting young people with meaningful, future-focused career pathways.
