Downer Group Cadetship Graduation: Celebrating Our Learners’ Success

Downer Group is New Zealand’s largest integrated service provider, delivering projects from Kaitaia to Invercargill across more than 120 locations. Through its scale and reach, Downer creates meaningful job opportunities and upskilling programmes for people throughout Aotearoa.

Recently, Puatala had the privilege of celebrating the graduation of Latu Unga and Siale Vainga, former students of Otahuhu College, from the Downer Group Cadetship Programme. Both learners came through the Puatala Programme and have taken an important step forward in their career pathways.

The Cadetship Programme supports participants to build practical, real-world experience while developing the skills needed for long-term success within the industry.

As part of the next stage of their journey, Latu and Siale will complete a six-month work experience rotation across Downer Group, gaining exposure to a range of roles before progressing toward an apprenticeship in their chosen area.
